  • 1.75 cups water
  • 1.5 cups unsweetened applesauce
  • 5 tsp butter extract
  • 3-4 tsp Stevia extract
  • 5 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Xanthan Gum (or 1 tsp flax meal mixed with 2 tsp hot water)


  • In a large bowl, whisk together the water, applesauce and extracts
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the cinnamon and xanthan gum (or flax/water mixture)
  • Slowly "dash" this into the wet ingredients while whisking
  • Once all is incorporated, whisk the entire mixture vigorously
  • Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight
  • The next day, pour the entire mixture into a blender or food processor and puree for 1-2 minutes, or until it gets a little lighter in color, more voluminous and is completely smooth
  • Pour syrup into bottle/jar, tightly seal and refrigerate to store
