Ingredients

  • 7 oz ground buffalo or ground beef
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 4 tbsp water
  • 8 oz canned diced tomatoes
  • 8 oz canned tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp basil
  • 1 tbsp italian seasoning
  • 16 oz shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper

Instructions

  • Over medium heat, heat 2 T water, 3 garlic cloves, and onion powder
  • Sauté until garlic is cooked
  • Add ground buffalo (or beef) and basil, salt, and pepper
  • Stir & cook until meat is fully browned
  • Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce and paste
  • Mix well
  • Add additional spices as needed
  • Let simmer and stir occasionally 
  • In separate pan, add 2 tbsp. water, 1 garlic clove, and sauté for 1 minute
  • Add cabbage and remaining seasoning
  • Sauté until soft
  • Drain and put on plate
  • Top with sauce and serve
