Ingredients
- 7 oz ground buffalo or ground beef
- 2 tsp onion powder
- 4 cloves garlic
- 4 tbsp water
- 8 oz canned diced tomatoes
- 8 oz canned tomato sauce
- 1 tsp tomato paste
- 1 tbsp basil
- 1 tbsp italian seasoning
- 16 oz shredded cabbage
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
Instructions
- Over medium heat, heat 2 T water, 3 garlic cloves, and onion powder
- Sauté until garlic is cooked
- Add ground buffalo (or beef) and basil, salt, and pepper
- Stir & cook until meat is fully browned
- Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce and paste
- Mix well
- Add additional spices as needed
- Let simmer and stir occasionally
- In separate pan, add 2 tbsp. water, 1 garlic clove, and sauté for 1 minute
- Add cabbage and remaining seasoning
- Sauté until soft
- Drain and put on plate
- Top with sauce and serve
