- 1 cup water
- 1 tsp cajun seasoning add more to preferred spice level
- 2 tsp minced garlic
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp xanthan gum
- pink salt, to taste
Get Recipe Ingredients
Bring water and chicken stock to simmer in saucepan
Add okra and garlic then cover with lid and cook until okra is tender
Stir in Cajun Seasoning and onion powder then cover with lid and cook 2 minutes Whisk xanthan gum into saucepan and cook 2 more minutes
Cut shrimp into bite sized pieces and add to saucepan
(optional) - if in phase 6, try adding andouille sausage for a more traditional gumbo dish. calorie count will be affected.
